A tree-dwelling species found mainly on larch or other conifers (Larix spp). A small light brown ladybird with no spots on its elytra, but a dark 'M'-shaped mark on the pronotum. It is often completely unmarked but usually has stripes, at least along the mid-line. However, rarely individuals may have between 2-6 spotsA generally common aphid feeder. This species is , often found by beating conifers but by no means restricted to them.
